VIKING SAGA
MALDON
Deceptive, isn't quite as large as it suggests. Only one room deep but it is absolutely impressive with the turret styled corners and those fabulous old chimneys. http://www.oseaisland.co.uk

Skipper Noddy waiting to greet you and see you safely aboard. The VS is the only boat afloat when the tide is this low. The long floating jetty enables her to take full advantage of the tidal river.
Lock gates are open for the yachts to enter the canal. Did you realise they had traffic lights?

Lovely to see her so happy and savouring every moment aboard her old friend.
Beautiful birds though I think their numbers are less on the local rivers nowadays.

FAMILY TRIP with our MUM "Rene"
With a terminal illness there were a few things on the bucket list and one was to take mum on a trip down memory lane, aboard the Viking Saga to Clacton on Sea.
Mum and I boarded at Brightlingsea after eating the most delicious fish n chips we'd had for years and headed out to sea.
Unfortunately, we had to abandon our original idea as the sea was getting rough. We turned back to the tranquil waters of the River Colne and headed up to Rowhedge and Wivenhoe.
Despite not achieving our goal it was still a very pleasant and enjoyable day and is now a treasured memory that we share.
