Weekend - RADIO CAROLINE
If I thought I was going to get a lay-in, I was wrong!! Something's been wrong with my plumbing for a while, I know cos I've been hearing the Missus telling him several times but he didn't seem to be taking her seriously. Well of all the days, I'd not had my beauty sleep and he comes bright n early and starts dismantling me china and replacing it, testing the flush and crossing his chubby fingers that he'd done a good job. Thank goodness the sun was shining down on me, that'

The Weekend part 1
I hope that you have had an enjoyable weekend with the bonus of some sunshine. I had a busy Friday, working from my Jetty and then the family loaded me up and took me to Mersea Island. It's not quite the same sleeping on a different berth and I found it a tad noisy and uncomfortable but Noddy, the Missus, Dean and his pals were comfy, so that's all that mattered. It wasn't quite so warm as they were hoping for on Saturday but that didn't spoil the day. The Regatta had the u
Another working day
Not brilliant sunshine but a dry and warm day. My public awaited me and I managed to troop up and down the Blackwater three times before being put back in my berth. I'm working from the Jetty tomorrow then I'm taking the family down to Mersea Island so that they can moor up ready for the Regatta on Saturday. Don't think I'm going to be in the line-up as my tubby controller doesn't want me to get knocked about so it sounds like I'll be alongside Danny's newly finished tug.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES
Mmmn that's better, some welcomed sunshine. I was spruced up today, given my usual rub down and off I set to the Jetty to see how many of my admirers were waiting to come for a trip aboard me. I was very honoured as several had turned out to greet me and I managed to toodle up and down the river four times. Noddy wasn't as impressed with the weather as I was but I just think he's getting soft in his old age, I'm sure my engines were keeping him warm in the wheelhouse. Hoping

Enforced Rest
Who switched the Autumn button on? This isn't fair, it's still August and I have another two months to make people happy before I go into my hibernation period!! Hope you are all staying warm and dry, some of us have to endure being wet, cold and miserable, bobbing around in the murky waters or laying in the mud.
Bank Holiday
Oh dear, dear dear!! I'm sat here on my mooring at Downs Road and I've not even been wiped down ready for work. I was supposed to be taking lots of happy passengers for trips along the Blackwater today but no, it has done nothing but rain and nobody loves me when I'm all wet and slippery. Even my family aren't giving me much attention today, seems someone's tug is more important. Oh well, I'll just nod off and have some more beauty sleep - not that I need it you understand.
CLACTON ON SEA - Forty years on.
My owner, skipper Noddy, wanted me to make a nostalgic return to the beaches where I worked for so long, as it is FORTY years (40) since I've seen them and the pier. We tried last year but were defeated but the weather was kinder to us today. He must've been impatient as he didn't even stop to pick up his big sister and I could feel her legs shaking as she boarded opposite Mersea after being taxied by Danny in the Boston. I couldn't get close to the beach as it was cordoned

Here goes, another foot into the modern world of the internet.
Mmmn, well the hand that types has thought that we should try to do a blog, just to keep you up to scratch with my activities. I'm not sure how this is going to work out as I'm in Maldon and she, that does, is in Peldon and we don't meet up every day.
Another problem might be that I don't lead the most exciting of lives but I do have a life and so I'm game for it if she will give it a go. Please be patient with us as she has to translate my thoughts and write on my behalf
